Now that you have set up your static building list, you need to store it in data assets for use with other systems. To do so:
– Create a folder where you want to store the data assets.
– In that folder, right-click in the empty space, go to miscellaneous, and select “Data Asset”.
– In the drop-down menu, search for “PCC_Buildings_CD” and click on the “Select” button.
– Label the newly created data asset to something descriptive, for instance, “My_Static_Blgds_Data”.
– Double-click to open it; The “Algorithm Spawn Distribution” tab is where you set the distribution of the different types of algorithms.
Our data asset is set for static buildings, so we need to consider only the static bldgs types aka Edge-Based (Static Buildings), Area-Based (Static Buildings),
and Grid-Based (Static Buildings).
Set other non-static building algorithm values to “0” so that they are not picked when using with plot.
– Now, select the plot in the level, go to the “Data Setup” tab, and put the data, in the “Buildings Data”.
– Go to the “PCC Command” tab and click on the “Copy Props Data to Data Asset” button to copy buildings data to the data assets and voilà.
Congratulations. You can now use your building data asset with other plots and iPCC systems.
